Forthcoming Excursions

During the Summer we organize a programme of evening walks, full- and part-day visits to sites of archaeological, architectural or historical interest all over England and Wales, together with a long weekend excursion to a major location. In most cases we have the benefit of guided tours and insights from local experts.

Hungate, York
17 October 2009
Many members will have had the pleasure of attending the excellent lecture by Peter Connelly, the Project Director of the Hungate excavations in York. These excavations are the biggest to have been carried out in the centre of the city for twenty-five years. Click here to find out more about the project.

Arrangements for a coach are still being made, but if you want to go or get further details, please contact Rosemary Martin, preferably by email, or by phone on 01244 324384.

In addition to the excavation tour, there will be some free time in York.
